Firestone’s Executive Chef Daniel Storm started working in restaurants at age 15 and fell in love with cooking. It become his passion. By the age of 19, he became a Sous Chef. He wanted to learn more. He studied classic French cooking at L’Academie de Cuisine in Gathersburg, MD.
After completing his studies, Daniel secured a position at Antrim 1844. His passion to learn led him to a position at Michel Richard’s Citronelle in Washington, DC. There he met Chef Jason Maddens and his mentor, Chef Jonathan Krinn later working with them at Clarity in Vienna, VA.
Chef Daniel decided to return to his hometown of Frederick, MD. He secured the Executive Chef position at Firestone’s Culinary Tavern in October of 2018.
Chef Daniel is never satisfied with the ordinary and his efforts are reflected in every dish. He pushes himself and gently pushes everyone around him to present the perfect seasonal menu.
